Our topic is all about Natural Disasters. Our main focus is on volcanoes. We are gonna paste some of our favourite facts, so prepare to be amazed!                                                                   

Did you know that volcanoes don’t only spew out lava but a pyroclastic surge which is a gas cloud. This is what actually killed the city of Pompeii!

Did you know Vesuvius was one of the biggest eruptions in the world  and killed  16,000 people in Pompeii.Did you know there are underwater volcanoes.

Did you you know  Vesuvious  was on the outskirts  of Pompeii.  Did you know Vesuvious erupted in AD 79 covering Pompeii in ash.

Popocatepetl in Mexico,

Mt Hood in Oregon, USA,

Merapi in Indonesia,

Pretty long list , huh!

Did you know lava underground is called magma.We have had a great time on this topic.It’s been really interesting. We got to go now, Popocatepetl just erupted from class 3! 

Class three have really enjoyed learning about the Second World War this term. They would like to tell you about some of the activities they have done as well as some of the facts they have learnt.

In our history topic (Evacuees) we have done many interesting things like: making model planes, role play, writing stories and drawing planes. We particularly like learning about planes! By Alistair Duncan and Charles Scott

We enjoyed making model planes and also making blitz pictures with oil pastels. We also did marching when the history people came in, we particularly liked making the war time recipes (crunchies and carrot cookies)! By Louie kelly-Bush and Ebby Stockley.

Our topic is all about the 2nd world war we are learning about the blits and the lives of the children and how they were evacuated.

We had a history day, in which we learnt lots of new and interesting facts about the war. We had a great day and had lots of fun. We learnt how to march like the soldiers would in the war. We dressed up as soldiers and children did. We learnt how the children lived and how hard it was to live as a evacuee.By Fraser Perrins and Ben Adams.

In the war topic we learnt about rationing and how the people used rationing books to get their food so they could eat and drink and also have the same amount of food fair for each other. by Sam,Ben,Kyle 

Near the start of our topic we had a history day. We learned lots of exciting new things!It was really interesting! Such as darning mushrooms and meat grinders!By Amber and Lyn.

Our teacher kindly invited Fran and Keith (history experts) to explain more about the history of ww2, and what life would be like during the war. Our T.A. has made an amazing, outstanding display based on the Blitz with our help! By Amy, Becky, Chloe.
