Our experiences of the Amazon rainforest!
Last week we had the best week ever! We had a special visit from a teacher called Mr. Smith from Weston Road Academy. Mr. Smith is a geography teacher and he came to visit us last Tuesday. It was very exciting! We learnt so much about the Amazon rainforest. We watched some fabulous videos, we also listened to a wonderful recount about Mr. Smith’s visit to the Amazon. We had lots of fun creating our very own rainforest creatures-it was brilliant! On behalf of class 2, we would like to thank Mr. Smith very much because we learnt so much. Last week was a very busy week as we also went swimming and we have nearly completed our art work for the rainforest display in the hall. We hope you have a great week. Bye for now
Happy New Year To Everybody
Hello everybody and a happy new year to you all!
We are all very happy to be back at school and we have been very busy learning about our new topic ‘The Rain-forests.’ So far we have learnt about why rain-forests are so important to our climate. We have been learning about all of the names of the trees, animals and plants. We have created some wonderful pieces of art work for our display and we have put our rain-forest display up in class and it looks magnificent! We have created persuasive posters this week and have participated in a class debate on why it is important to preserve our rain-forests. We have also been to King Edward’s this week and we have taken part in a skipping and cheer leading festival. It was really fun! We have had lots of birthdays since we have been back and this week we are celebrating Jack and Sophie’s birthday! Happy Birthday to you both. We will look forward to updating you on all the work we have been doing next week.
Have a lovely weekend!
